We held the 15th annual Mike Henthorn Cruse Memorial Golf Day in April. Twenty-one teams took part in glorious sunshine and helped to raise an incredible £11,200 for our charity.
We are very grateful to Bill Mummery at Celton Manx for his continued support of our annual golf day named in memory of our former vice-chair Mike Henthorn who was well known in the business and sporting communities on the Island.
We'd also like to thank Peel Golf Club and their pro Lewis Dening for making the day run smoothly and to Alex Hendry and the team at the The Fairway for the food and drink. Thank you as well to Bill Dale for his photographs which you can see on his Facebook page, and our former chairman Sam Skelton for being the driving force behind this much-loved event. A big thank you as well to all of the raffle prize donors including Isle of Man Steam Packet, Robinson's, The Wine Cellar, Cruse staff and volunteers, and members of the wider Henthorn family.
Congratulations to the winning team at Capital International, Sure who came in second, and Coutts who finished third. The winner's speech was made by Andy Tinnion from Capital International, in which he talked about having been a friend of Mike's, and the trophy was presented by Mike's wife Janet.
